We are now equipped to replace the torque sensor in the Electronic Power Steering units fitted to the below vehicles
- Alfa Romeo: Mito
- Ford: KA
- Fiat: Punto 188 EPS, Grande Punto, Panda and 500
- Opel: Corsa D and Meriva A
And the torque sensors we fit are OE (original equipment)
With the use of this special equipment ensure that the sensor is fitted correctly and also allows us to calibrate the new sensor to the control unit on the bench so that there is no need to perform any special functions with a diagnostic tool when the unit is refitted to the car.
Symptoms of a torque sensor problem
Normally the fault will cause the power steering to become heavy in one direction or sometimes will completely fail. The fault usually starts out as intermittent but always becomes permanent with time.
